MIDDLE EASTERN GREEN BEANS

1- pound fresh cut or frozen green beans 

 

1- small onion, slivered

1 ½- Tbsp. olive oil

½- tsp. salt

1- tsp. allspice

1- tsp. cinnamon

½- cup water

 

Pour olive oil into sauté pan.

Sauté onions on medium heat until they become translucent.

Add green beans and sauté until lightly tanned.

Sprinkle with salt, allspice and cinnamon.

Add water and turn low.

Cover and simmer for 8- minutes.

Remove the cover.

Turn the heat up to medium until the water boils out and the onions get a little tanned.
